My client are looking for a skilled Senior M&E Manager to lead and manage all mechanical and electrical aspects of our projects within an acute healthcare setting. The successful candidate will have a solid background in M&E management, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) legislation, HS&E policies, procedures, minimum safety standards, and site-specific plans.
* Oversee the maintenance and operation of critical M&E systems such as HVAC, medical gas, and emergency power in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
* Maintain knowledge of water management systems within healthcare, ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
* Lead M&E projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
* Manage subcontractors, service providers, and operatives to ensure safe and compliant construction.
* Assist in the development of asset lifecycle plans and provide input into lifecycle project design.
* Offer technical guidance and support to the lifecycle project team, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
* Act as the main technical contact for clients, addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction.
* Mentor and support a team of M&E engineers and technicians, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
* Collaborate with clinical staff, hospital facility managers, and stakeholders to ensure M&E systems meet hospital requirements.
* Identify and mitigate M&E risks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans for M&E systems, including fire safety, power outages, and equipment failures.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
* Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
* Proficiency in M&E design software and tools.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE) are highly desirable.
* Experience in an acute healthcare environment, with knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations and standards.
