Contractor with long term project work in Somerset require a Site Engineer to assist with setting out Ground works and RC foundations, retaining walls and structures works packages on large construction project. The Assignment is part time for 3-4 days/week on a long term basis. Knowledge of Leica Machine Control would also be required for the right person.

Duties will include setting out for the overall package of Ground works, Civils and externals, liaising with the ground works teams to provide dimensional control information and assist with upholding quality standards.

The selected candidate will ideally have a minimum HNC level qualification in a Construction/Engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate experience working with main contractors on projects where large scale R.C., piling, earthworks, Temporary Works etc. are prevalent.

The assignment will continue for a minimum 12 months for the right person with the prospect of further work beyond that if candidates prove suitable.

Day rate will be competitive and in line with experience.
