We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a school project in Telford, running from 6th May until mid-July 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to manage and coordinate all aspects of construction on a high-profile educational project.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is completed to schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors.
Team Leadership: Manage and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that work is progressing as planned.
Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and building regulations.
Liaison with Stakeholders: Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to report on progress, issues, and solutions.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety inspections, and meeting minutes.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, with experience in educational or school-based projects highly desirable.
Enhanced DBS check (this is a mandatory requirement for this project).
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Ability to plan and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Desirable:
Experience with managing construction projects on educational facilities.
